My name is Leah Georgia , I am able to provide quality childcare for families who may need my help! I have worked in a nursery for 2 years full time, looking after babies from 6 weeks, toddlers and children up to the age of 5. I have knowledge of the EYFS and first aid training. Since then I have done some private work babysitting for all different ages. I love getting involved with children's interests and encouraging them to expand their knowledge. I enjoy singing songs and playing games with children as well as taking them out to activities or appointments if necessary. I'm more than happy to help out with cooking, cleaning and general housework. I'm happy to be around all animals and help care for furry friends too! I have also worked with children with disabilities and find this extremely rewarding. I am looking into studying my level 3 childcare NVQ to further my knowledge and skills in childcare. I am also looking into taking part in a baby massage course to teach parents baby massage and baby hydrotherapy.

We met Leah when she was allocated the keyworker for one of our twins at a nursery. Leah was the person who put me (the neurotic mum) at ease and made me think my girls might just be ok. She was the friendly face I saw most mornings during drop off. She was always delighted to see the girls, taking them off me, giving them a hug and settling them down, whilst asking me how the girls had been overnight etc. My girls would grin and giggle every time they saw Leah, making me confident that they enjoyed being with her and less neurotic about leaving them. The nursery followed the Early Years Foundation Stage standards so Leah was forever coming up with creative ways to make learning fun. Shaving foam, paddling pools, glitter, buckets etc. You name it, we probably heard of it it and some unexpected things too. We'd get cards on mother's day, father's day, Easter, Christmas, lots of paintings, pictures etc. The girls thrived there and had a special bond with Leah and so did we, the parents. Leah left around ten months after the girls started to attend college. I can remember crying when she told me she was leaving, that was the confidence she had given me that my girls were safe and well looked after. With the permission of the nursery manager, we remained in contact with Leah due to the relationship/bond that had been built through her keyworking one of our twins. When the nursery suddenly closed three months later we had no hesitation in asking Leah if she could assist us in providing some childcare around her college commitments until permanent childcare could be arranged, which she willingly agreed to and she supported us over six weeks from our own home. Our experience of Leah is nothing but positive. Leah is a friendly, hardworking, considerate and dedicated professional. She is passionate about providing quality child care and making the children her number one priority. Her timekeeping was impeccable, despite a challenging journey from her home to our house. Leah genuinely cares about those in her charge as well as their wider family. Leah ensures that all children are treated fairly and equally, with kindness, dignity and compassion. Leah is great with children of all ages. Our son was 15 years old at the time the girls started nursery. He has Asperger’s and Leah would always try and engage him if he accompanied me to collect the girls. Getting him to hold a conversation was at that time no mean feat but Leah's gentle determination led him to respond to her. Leah listens to parents, she takes on board their views. She isn't afraid to offer support or suggestions but in a very supportive, kind way. She always remembers you are the parent. When Leah agreed to help look after our children when the nursery closed, she would take our daughters out to meet friends with other children so they got to play with others. She took them to different activities, playgrounds and spent time playing with the toys we had at home. She made their lunches, ensured she cleared up after herself etc. She also took it upon herself to tidy up after the children; she would do little chores in the house, not because she had been asked to do so, just because she was being helpful and thought it was one less thing for us parents to do when we got home. Leah is an extension to our family. We all love her. The girls for the fun she brings, the imaginary play, the blowing bubbles, the tickles, the praise when they use the potty. Us for being someone we trust implicitly with our daughters, for being our rock when I returned to work, to helping us when childcare came crashing around and just for caring for our daughters with the same level of passion as us and always checking in that they girls are doing okay. Good child care is hard to find. That's why I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Leah. She's an absolute diamond and any family who engage her for child care will be glad they chose her.
