Katrina, childcare in Macclesfield SK11

Hi there! My name is Katrina and I am 36 yrs old. I am looking for a change in career direction and as I would like to work with children I thought I would put my details on this website! Although I don't have a childcare qualification as such, I am well educated and do have a degree in Leisure Management, an Advanced GNVQ in Media: Communication and Production and also other qualifications such as 'Starting Your Own Business' and also 'Beginners Web Design'. Currently I rent out a property to tenants and also do a lot of volunteer work for a children's charity and an Elderly Person's charity. Still, I have time during the day to spare, and would like to help children. I like to keep busy!

I have experience of looking after children. Many years ago I used to be a student dance teacher, teaching ballet, tap and modern to children between the ages of 3- 12, and I also took part in the Children's University that we operated whilst I was at University (to get children between the ages of 11 and 13 to consider University as a future option.)

I also have experience of looking after my nephew from when he was a baby to 5yrs old and also my cousins when they were little too.

I have basic knowledge of first aid, although I don't have a certificate.

I have caring experience. I lost both my parents to cancer and cared for my mum full time throughout her illness (she had inflammatory breast cancer). My mum was my best friend and we were very close, so it was an incredibly difficult time. My mum passed away in 2013 and since then, I have been trying my best to rebuild my life. I am proud of myself for what I have achieved.

I don't mind looking after your pets as well as your children! I have had pets of my own including dogs. cats, hamsters etc!

I have recently moved to Macclesfield, so I can drive anywhere within the local vicinity - Macclesfield, Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, Bollington, Poynton.

I love the performing arts in general. Currently I go dancing in a regular basis and enjoy going to various classes at the gym. I also go Nordic walking in the countryside. I am also willing to try new activities!

I very much believe in positive thinking and personal development, and regularly attend various talks/workshop at a Personal Development and Meditation Centre in Manchester.

If your children need help with their homework, I will do my best! If they want fun, I will do my best! I like going bowling, to the cinema, roller rink, whatever they are into!!

Get in touch! I was going to go to New York over Christmas and New Year but since that looks like it's not going to happen, I am able to look after your children instead!!
