My name is Kira and I'd love to help out a family to provide support for their children. I am a mature 16 year old with a good education and a good sense of right or wrong. I have a large family and, being the eldest of my generation in the family, I have always been a reliable and trustworthy babysitter. Having a close family with lots of children aged newborn to 14 means I have spent the majority of my life being a role model. I have around 5 years experience in taking full care of children which has left me with many required skills such as:
- patience and tolerance
- a logical mind
- the ability to cook a wide variety of meals
- cleaning skills
- a positive and bubbly attitude
- the ability to stay calm in stressful or difficult environments
- ensuring the personal hygiene of the child is adequate.
I often clean around the house so I would be more than happy to help out with household chores like washing up and tidying. I cook meals for my family frequently so I am confident in the kitchen.
I would engage in activities with the child and provide emotional support. I would take interest in their interests and make sure I am approachable, friendly and caring.
I know basic first aid and have been trained (not to degree level) how to stop someone choking, how to perform CPR on different age groups, safety drills incase of a fire, how to save someone from drowning and other potential life saving skills.
