I am currently a student at the University of Portsmouth, I am undergoing a degree in Human Resource Management with Psychology - the psychology aspect of my degree holds great importance with child development and other factors such as play, education, language and relationships. Before I came to university I babysat for quite a few local families, as well as my families children and my godson. I found that being part of the scout movement for 7 years of my life played a huge part in my strong relationships with the children, as the scouts required us to work closely with the younger age groups such as cubs and beavers who range from 4 years to 9 years old. I was able to interact with them on their level and introduce new and exciting games that both encouraged them to have fun and learn at the same time. I often helped the children I was looking after with their homework and was happy to help out with housework and cooking etc. I also was involved in teaching six young children how to play the piano - I found that this allowed me to see how children learn and interact on a whole new level. I really enjoy working with children and I find that I am comfortable in being left alone with and being held responsible for them - I understand the importance of feeling that your child is safe and in good hands, I hope that I have given you a decent overview that would suggest I am trustworthy.
I look forward to hearing from some of you.
