I am a preston based Musical Theatre teacher with over 4 years of teaching experience at a private performing arts academy and primary and secondary education and a First Class BA hons degree.

I have taught 3-5 year olds performing arts for 3 years, exploring theatre to develop a child’s imagination, life skills and confidence by reading stories, role play, circle time( this gives children the opportunity to express how they feel or something exciting they have done that week, song and dance. More recently, I was promoted to teacher the older years class Musical Theatre (ages 6-18) we work towards west end shows, full scale productions, auditions, exams and so much more!

Currently I am an SEN teaching assistant at a local high school, I help ensure lessons run smoothly with as little disruption as possible and support students with SEN. I differentiate tasks, take students out in small groups or 1 to 1 and try to create a safe space where they feel comfortable and relaxed to achieve their full academic potential.

I have toured primary schools across the north west, running performing arts workshops. I Incorporate topics they are currently learning with drama to really engage them in the subject!

I have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to children and how important it is for them to explore theatre, the arts and be creative.
