Maddie, childcare in Reigate

My name is Maddie, I am 22 and cutrently 3 years into my 4 year University degree (Business and Management). I am free for nannying beginning of July 2016 until beginning of September 2016. However am available now to babysit any weekends (including Friday evenings).

Prior to my degree I worked as a full time nanny for a new born and 2 year old for 7 months in Seattle. This was an amazing experience, and taught me a lot about managing play/lunch and nap time with more than one child! We lived on a lake so spent a lot of time playing outdoors in the garden or along the beach in the fresh air (even in the rain). As the older child was of pre-school age, all three of us would attend, I really recognised the improtance of socialisation with other children at this early stage. The family were not keen on television, which suited me as I would pre-plan varied activities to keep the 2 year old happy, fulfilled and occupied! I took control of the eldest childs meals/sleep/discipline (this involved working directly with the parents and am keen to have a collaborative relationship with future families.) More than happy to provide a reference for this experience.

I have also been a young leader (rainbows, brownies and girl guides for 5 years), which involved a lot of messy and creative play. The girls without fail were giddy every week, so it was lovely to be able to settle them before hometime with colouring.

I have grown up babysitting at weekends for various regular families.
