Stacey, childcare in Southampton

All About Me:-
Hello my name is Stacey,
I am 21 years old with a great love for caring for children.
I am level 3 qualified in Childcare, Paediatric First Aid trained, full use of Makaton with near on 4 years hands on experience in a private day nursery. I am offering babysitting week nights and weekends at the moment. However as of September i am going into a term time only positions which means i am available in all half term holidays. Im based in Freemantle Shirley but hoping to pass my driving test in the next few months which will enable to be abit more flexible.

My experience:-
I have worked in a private day nursery for nearly 4 years now I have been a deputy room leader in baby room for the last 6 months, this was a great opportunity and a big change however i have loved it! Working in the baby room has allowed me to top up my learning and knowledge from working with children under the age of 2. Caring for babies is so rewarding and the close attachment bond they have with their carers is so warming.

Prior to this i was a deputy room leader in the preschool, I worked with children aged 3-5 years for 2 and a half years. Amongst my experience with preschool aged children i was lucky enough to work with children with special educational needs such as developmental delay, English as an additional language, non verbal children, Autism and children with behavioural problems. I have worked with children with disabilities on both a 1 to 1 basis and within a large group of children so this is no issue for me.

I worked with children under the age of 2 before Prechool, this has allowed me to gain good understanding and knowledge of how to care for children under the age of 2.
