I am currently a full time nanny for a family of four, caring for a nearly 3 year old girl and nearly 7 year old boy. My position will be coming to an end in September 2018, due to the youngest child going to nursery full-time as she will be nearly 4. By the time my position comes to an end, I will have worked with the family for roughly 2 and a half years. I have, and continue to love my job and I hope to be able to find another family who I will get along with just as well. My current duties include school runs, preparing meals, tidying up after myself and the children, organising age appropriate activities for the children, undertaking personal care, helping with homework, taking the children to extra-curricular activities and organising playdates/days out.
Prior to this, I briefly worked at Southend hospital as a healthcare assistant, which didn't work out for me. Prior to that also, I worked for one year as a nursery nurse, and three years as a special needs teaching assistant. I have worked with pupils with a number of different conditions, some of which included challenging behaviour, ASD, SLD, MLD, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, speech and language delay, down syndrome, global developmental delay and more. I have good GCSE grades, all of which are C or above, including A* for English. I have also completed my Levels 2 and 3 in Specialist Support in Teaching and Learning in Schools. Training which I have undertaken whilst working includes paediatric first aid, Signalong, gastronomy, ASD training, talk tools, epilepsy and magnet training, moving and handling, visual impairment training, team teach, tracheostomy, P.E.C.S basic training, level 2 food safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity, PSED, safer eating and drinking, autism awareness and challenging behaviour training. I am willing to travel as I am a car driver with a full clean license.
I can build up relationships with others well and I am a fun, creative and loving nanny. I am capable of organising my time effectively and I have a calm and patient manner, along with good listening skills and above all, empathy.
In my spare time I enjoy cycling, swimming, watching films, cooking and baking, doing art and making music, as I play the piano. I would love to be able to support a new family and continue to develop into an even better nanny than I am now, and hopefully make a positive influence on their childhood and development.
I will be looking for a full-time position, as financially, I need this to support myself.
I hope to meet the right family for September 2018, please message me for any questions/interest. Thank you!
Partial / after-school care | $11.50 per hour |
Home nanny | $10.00 per hour |
I work very hard to provide activities for the children I care for which takes lots of time at home, which is unpaid. I feel that £10 p/h full time, it is a very reasonable able amount for the quality of care and education I provide.
