Karen, childcare in Taverham NR8

Hi, I'm Karen and I'm an Ofsted Registered live out nanny which means you will be able to use childcare vouchers. I live in Taverham which is on the edge of Norwich. I have many years of experience with young children in both a professional and voluntary capacity as well as having had three children of my own. I have worked in playgroups and nurseries and have been a nanny for two lovely families. I was also a leader of a large Parent and toddler group for ten years and it was during that time that I discovered my passion for working with children and became qualified.
In 2007 I made a trip to Ecuador, South America to work voluntarily with young children whose parents had died from Aids. This experience gave me fresh insight and perspective on caring for children with different cultural backgrounds. It was challenging but very rewarding.
I enjoy working with children as I am caring and compassionate and am the kind of person who relates well to children and can get down to their level when necessary. I am passionate about what I do because I am able to plant 'seeds' in a child's life that will impact their whole future. I am able to set good boundaries whilst at the same time being patient and remaining calm.
I enjoy various activities both indoors and outdoors. I love craft activities and messy play as well as singing with actions and Role play. I also enjoy baking . I am happy to take children to music groups, parent & Toddler groups, library, the play park etc and have a full clean driving license. I am qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Early years care and Education and also trained in First Aid.
