Lucy, childcare in Townhill KY12

Hi, my name is Lucy and I am 16 turning 17 in October. I have just started 6th year of high school and am looking to achieve an advanced higher qualification in Design and Manufacture. I help taking care of my little cousins, one of who is going into her first year of high school and the other is going into primary 5. I am currently doing an internship at TechnipFMC, it is a 4 week internship and I go around all of the different departments and see what i like best, I have taken the most to Health and Safety as it’s interesting seeing how it’s not all telling people to have their PPE on at all times (although that is part of the job!). I have experience working with children as I was an elf in Dobbies at Christmas, in this role I was taking kids round the grotto and introducing them to Santa, it was so rewarding seeing them get so excited seeing him, it was also challenging as sometimes they would be too timid to go and see Santa so I would have to help them ease into it and take it one step at a time. I have 2 dogs and I wouldn’t mind being around any other animals and learning how to take care of them if needed. I have no problem helping out around the house as I do it in my own house as it is, I believe we should all have to contribute to keep the space we are living in tidy even if it’s just cleaning up after yourself rather than just expecting someone to do it for you.
