Veronika, childcare in Woolwich SE18

My name is Veronika. I originally come from the Czech Republic (Prague) but have been living in London for two years now.
I work as a nanny and a nursery teacher and I am looking for families I could help with evening babysitting, weekend care, bank holiday care.
I am a dedicated and qualified nursery teacher, social worker and a nanny with a passion for children’s learning and care. I have the longest experince with children aged from zero to seven years but I have also worked with children and youth from seven to twenty six as a social worker, free time educator and a charity worker. I am currently employed as a nanny where I look after eighteen months old baby (six weeks when I started) and an eight years old gifted girl.

I like applying partner ship with children and always try to make solutions and rules together with them as it improves their understanding and keeping the rules later on. Every child is important and deserves the same attention and support as the other ones.

I have ten years experience with children, four years in nurseries and one year in a special nursery for disadvantaged children I started to run thanks to a charity I volunteered for, five years in charities and five years experience as a nanny.

In addition to being a very organised person, I am creative and enthusiastic, and sensitive to children’s individual needs. I possess very good communication skills and when working with children I am a fan of partnership and attachment parenting principles.

I am fully qualified, with a Bachelor of Education (Nursery Teaching) and Masters of Leisure Studies and Free-time Education/Charity work (both NARIC translated and considered to be comparable to British ones). I also hold a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate which meets OFSTED requirements. I like studying in my free time and that is why I have recently finished a Teaching Assistent Diploma, Nutrition and Health NCFE Certificate Level 2, Counselling Children and Adolescents Diploma and Business and Administration NCFE Certificate Level 2. As all my degrees have been considered to be comparable to the British Standard, I hold level 7 in childcare.
