I am a Portuguese / Brazilian lady, I am 39 years old and have a technical background in Nursing. I worked 3 years in a maternity ward where I was in charge of the nursery, and I took care of the newborn and I support the mothers. I worked in support of mothers at home, helping with babies.
Babies after birth need support to understand the new environment outside of the mother's belly, and it is very important to have people prepared to help them understand the changes, everything for them is new. And having someone prepared helps to develop a calm child and adapted to the routine of the parents.
At the moment I still do not know English, but I'm studying. I am a careful, friendly person and I love working with babies, I love helping to support breastfeeding mothers for the first time who need help to live this new phase of life.
