Hello, my name is Harriet and I've recently moved to Inverness with my boyfriend to be closer to his family. I'm looking for any type of full or part time work. I have a passion for working with children and their families and would love to hear from you!

I've always had a love for working with children and my experiences have only strengthened this. As a child carer I value communication and strong relationships both with children and parents/ guardians as highly important. I always keep the child's best interests at heart and pride myself on 'keeping the child at the centre'.

I graduated from university 3 years ago with a First Class BA Hons in Education. Whilst studying I volunteered in a number of educational settings (including Special Educational Needs as well as mainstream) working with children from as young as 1 all the way to 16. Since graduating I have had experience working as a team leader in a Nursery and as a TA in a Primary school. During my time at the Primary School I was responsible for a student experiencing Type 1 Diabetes, ran an After School Care Club and worked full time as a Teaching Assistant across the school but primarily I was based in KS1.

I also have experience as a dancer; dancing at Disney Land Paris and The Royal Albert Hall. I enjoy bringing the art of dance into activities and have experience leading after school dance groups. In addition to this, having ran an after school care club I have experience in organising and delivering numerous activities from baking, crafts, sports competitions to adventure trails and treasure hunts!

My experiences mean I can offer a friendly, fun and sufficient service to benefit your families needs and expectations.

Harriet worked as a teaching assistant in the school where I was Head of School. I also taught in classes in which Harriet worked. As part of her role Harriet ran the before and after school care club. I can not recommend Harriet highly enough. She is a reliable, hard worker who happily follows instructions but is equally capable of working independently and using her initiative. She developed outstanding relationships with the children and parents that allowed her to ensure that all the children in her care were safe and happy and made progress. She has a good knowledge of child development and children's learning and creatively planned activities that the children enjoyed and fully engaged with. She works happily and effectively whether with a large group of children or working with a child on a one- to - one basis. Harriet built good relationships with all the staff in school no matter what their role was and is highly thought of by everyone that she worked with. I have no hesitation at all of recommending Harriet.
