Elen, childcare - LL28 Rhos-on-sea

Hello, my name is Elen and I'm 19 years old just turned (5th July) I currently study in the University of York and am studying social policy and criminology which, broken down is a mixture of social work and the policies involved with youth crime. I am currently on summer break until mid September. I love and genuinely enjoy spending time with children and especially with children I have a very high patience and tolerance towards their needs and wants. As well as having a genuine love of spending time with children, I also hope my career will take me down a road with children, in the hopes of becoming a children's lawyer. In response to the type of childcare I'm looking for, it would be anywhere from the ages of 6 months to early teens. My qualities as a child carer would be patience, especially with young children as they can be quite trying at times and the carer has to understand that they don't know they are necessarily mis behaving at times. Another quality would definitely be being an enthusiastic cook, as I now live in university I have to cook for myself everyday and learnt alot from my dad whilst living at home. I am also a very flexible person for when I am available and I think that is a very important quality, always being available when most needed last minute. My experience with children professionally, is I must admit not very vast only stemming to work experience in play schools and primary schools when I was in high school, but as an individual I am willing to listen and I learn very fast. I believe I am a natural with children though and that is why I have chosen to pursue a career that involves helping children.
