Katerina, childcare in Manchester M60

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Katerina , I am from Greece, I live in London and I am moving to Manchester in February of 2015. I am a native Greek speaker and I also speak English. I am passionate about working with children, have plenty of experience and am highly self-motivated.

I would like to introduce myself. I completed my undergraduate studies in Pollution Control Technologies and Engineering at the Higher Technological Education Institute of Western Macedonia, Greece in 2008. My future plans are to do a part time Masters Degree in education, in Manchester and I would also like to start an English course to take the IELTS qualification. I have been living in London from 14th of May and I am still working for a family with a 3 year old boy till the end of January, as my current employer required a nanny for a set period. Over the last few years, I have successfully worked for families with children aged from 3 to 13 years old, carrying out tasks related to everyday childcare and providing educational development for the children through educational games, painting, reading and various other social activities. Moreover, I have worked with children with special needs as an actress, which helped me become more sensitive of children’s. individual needs. Finally, I have two nephews, a boy of 4 years old and a girl of 8. I have been helping my sister to bring them up since they were born. My hobbies are theatre, music, exercise, art and reading books. I enjoy making handmade things and I am very sociable person who loves learning.

I strongly believe my previous childcare experience, combined with my caring personality, makes me a good candidate for this job. As a nanny, I will be committed to taking care the children, providing them with the appropriate stimuli to achieve their full potential.
