Kate, childcare in Marple SK6

Hi Im Kate,
I live in the Peak District with my 17 year old son, a daughter at university, a dog and 2 cats! I have 4 other children of whom I am extremely proud, and who have become very successful in their chosen paths.
I would describe myself as extremely fit, slim and active, patient , understanding, responsible and possessing a good sense of humour.
I had the privilege of not working for a large part of my children's upbringing and therefore was able to provide them with a stimulating environment, healthy food and plenty of love. As such, I have experience in the role of primary caregiver during each stage of a child's development. I place a strong emphasis on activities which intellectually stimulate children such as painting, craft, reading, baking and outdoor activities, while recognising the importance of socialisation, especially with young children.
As my children became more independent I pursued a career in catering, something I have a lot of experience in, and had regular clients who would be prepared to offer me references. Unfortunately, my Father became increasingly dependant on me, and so I had to give up my business in order to care for him. It was during this time that I trained to become a carer so I would be able to administer medicine, carry out moving and handling, and become proficient in First Aid.
I now find myself wanting to engage in another rewarding role of providing care, and I would welcome the opportunity to join a vibrant young family.
