Lucy, childcare in Monifieth

I have known Lucy as her employer since 25th March 2014 whilst she was undertaking further education. She was employed as a Childcare Support Worker and her duties included:- • Adhering to Care Inspectorate National Standards • Complying with SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) Code of Practice and registration requirements • Assisting with safe, creative and appropriate play activities • Administering First Aid as required • Adhering to staff rules, policies and procedures • Undertaking delegated administrative duties • Attending training Courses and meetings as specified necessary by the Committee • Liaising with school staff and parents All of these duties were undertaken confidently and competently. Lucy was a very conscientious member of our team and formed excellent relationships with children, staff and parents. She was enthusiastic in her approach to her post, offering a great deal of support to the children and her colleagues. She used her artistic skills to deliver many arts, crafts and games activities with fun, encouraging the children to participate. She willingly attended training courses and meetings as deemed necessary by the Management Committee. Her timekeeping was impeccable and she showed excellent written and verbal communication skills, including designing leaflets promoting our service. Lucy was a valuable member of our Club and I believe she would be an asset to your organisation. I have no hesitation in recommending her to you.
