Scarlett, childcare - NG19 Mansfield woodhouse

Hi, my name is Scarlett , I am 21 years old and I am seeking a full-time job with families who require full-time care for their children in the family home. I have a full and clean DBS check. I have many qualities that are beneficial in working with children, such as patience and enthusiasm. I am very calm around children and I feel this has a positive impact when caring for them, however I also have a very upbeat personality and I am very bubbly. I have always aspired to work with children in any way possible and this is what motivated me to achieve my degree. I have a Foundation Degree in Children and Young People's Services and have experience with a wide variety of ages. I completed many placements during my degree in primary schools and helped to plan and assist in activities with children ages 4-6. I currently work in a private nursery in Lowdham and I am looking for a job closer to home. I work in the pre-school room of the nursery, with ages 2-4 but previously worked in the toddler and baby room so I have a vast range of experience and knowledge with all ages. In the pre-school room I have to plan according to the EYFS and carry out activities with the children based on what area I have planned for. These activities could be anything from counting and identifying numbers, to venturing outside to look at nature. I feel that my experience working at this nursery has been highly beneficial in understanding how children learn best and expanded my knowledge of the developmental stages of the EYFS. Making activities fun in the main aim of my planning and I try to make the activities as fun as possible, whilst still achieving the next step planned.
