Samantha, childcare - NP20 Newport

Hi, my name is sammie. I am 19 years old, from chepstow but I currently live in newport where I am studying youth and community work at caerleon university and have just finished my first year there. I really enjoy my course as its so practical and I get to build relationships with the most amazing people!!
I have some knowledge of first aid due to my kickboxing training in which I am a trainee instructor. I have also done some basic first aid training with a voluntary befriending scheme that works with the elderly in and around chepstow. In addition to this I have been a young leader with chepstows boys and girls brigade and continue to volunteer with monmouthshire youth service in their youth clubs. Due to these commitments my available working time is restricted but the time that is left free is extremely flexible depending on the family.
Family is really important to me so I spend most of my free time with my nieces who are 5 and 7. I'm always trying to invent new ways to keep them entertained such as baking cakes or arts and crafts. I'm very close to my teenage sister too and even though I don't live with her anymore she always messages me with any problems she has or for help with her GCSE homework.
I love learning new things, especially about different cultures and ways of life. I would really relish the opportunity to gainmore experience and meet new people.
