Bethan, childcare - PL4 Plymouth

My names Beth, I am a twenty year old BA (Hons) Early Years Education student who is currently studying at the University of St Mark & St John. I am from Plymouth, living close to the City Center with access to all bus routes!

I have been working within the childcare sector since the age of 15, starting off by volunteering at local creches and after school clubs. I started my apprenticeship with Noah's Ark Children's Centre at the age of 16 and when I gained my Level 2 NVQ the company kept me on for further employment by offering me a full time longer contract. I then decided to go on to complete my level 3 diploma in Children and Young People's workforce whilst still working at the setting. At the setting I have experienced working with ages from 0-5, and I can honestly say I absolutely love working with children of all ages!

Unfortunately, upon starting University I could no longer work full time in a nursery setting due to the hours I am required to be at University, although I am only there for 9 hours a week.

I am looking to provide my services as a baby sitter to carry on doing what I love most whilst studying. Throughout my time in childcare I have learnt basic Makaton (baby sign) and skills such as forest schooling and phonics. I am very hands on and creative, loving to get messy with artistic activities as well as exploring the outdoors!
