My Name is Joel ,

I am 19 years old and was born in Southport. Having lived here my whole life, I am friendly, calm individual and enjoy activities such as drama and sport in my spare time.

I spent the last 8 months of my life doing volunteering work in the Middle East which involved working with children aged from 6 - 17. Whilst away, I also took part in a 4 month educational leadership program called 'Machon l'Madrichim'.

I have been part of a youth movement since the age of 11, and have progress through the movement to the point where I am now a qualified leader, educator and I am legally able to hold 'loco parentis'. My role and experience as a youth leader means that I have a large variety of techniques and methods which are available for me to use in many different situations.

Joel has been a member of our organisation for a number of years now and has contributed positively to every event he has been on, first as a participant and especially effectively as a leader. He has led on various summer and winter camps as a volunteer. In summer 2013 for two weeks with years 5-7 and in 2014 for 2 weeks with years 10 (age 15), both camps had 60-80 participants. Having completed our extensive leadership training course when he was 16, Joel has been a consistent volunteer leader on our events.
