My name is Niamh , and I am 21 years old and a student of English Literature. Coming from a large Irish family I have been lucky to have been raised by a caring family and as I grew older, I became part of that caring process for my younger siblings and cousins also. Growing up in a close-knit family and school environment has enabled me to mature into an empathetic, caring and proactive person. I welcome the chance to provide help where I can and have embraced all volunteering opportunities to provide care in my community for all age groups in the past. I feel I am talkative, positive and hardworking, and hope we could get along. The nature of my previous work and volunteering experience has given me a set of transferable skills and qualities which would help me fulfil this position. All of my positions have involved me needing to be attentive and intuitive, and these opportunities have enabled me to develop my interpersonal skills. I have been raised in inclusive communities, and integrated schools. Through my work experience in theatre, I have had the chance to travel across the UK and work within International Performing Companies and therefore meet and collaborate with a wide range of people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Providing support through theatre for children with learning difficulties has also helped me to think creatively about communication methods and encouraging individuals through creative processes and education to build their own confidence. It has been a joy to help promote equality, creativity and education through these opportunities. Having obtained excellent organisation and time keeping skills from a busy lifestyle, I strive to be punctual and work competently and resourcefully throughout, as well as build friendships with the children I look after.
