Shannan, childcare provider - BT47 Londonderry

Hello, my name is Shannan . I am 22 years old, and I live in the Waterside, Derry; this is close proximity to any areas in the Waterside, as well as access to the town from the Peace Bridge.
I have already had an Access NI check which can be shown at any time. I have 9 GCSE's including Childcare, and 3 A-Level's which includes Health and Social Care.
When I was in 4th year in school, I done work experience for a week within a nursery where I had to meet the needs of children aged 3 and 4. I interacted and played games with the children; as well as making their lunches and clearing up their toys once they went home.
Also, in 5th year of school I done work experience in a primary school where I looked after children aged 5 and 6. I helped the children with their classwork, looked after them during playtime and was there for them when they needed any help.
I have also babysat for a neighbour for 4years who had two young children. During babysitting I spent anywhere between hours and days with the children. During this time I would help the children with their homework, make their meals for them, as well as cleaning the home.
I have a little brother and helped my mum change nappies, bath and feed him etc, so I have experience of looking after children, even from when they are very young. I played games with him, including playing schools where I helped him learn how to count, say the alphabet and I also read to him each night before he went to sleep.
Also, I live with my boyfriend who has a 3 and a half year old daughter from a previous relationship. I have helped look after her and meet her needs since she was just turning 2years old. I make her meals, maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the home and have been helping her to count and learn the alphabet.
I have always had a keen interest in looking after children and helping them reach their highest potential. I enjoy every aspect of seeing a child grow and helping them discover their future.
I have had an excellent attendance through school years, as well as work. I am an excellent time keeper and very punctual. I am kind, and always put the needs of other people before the needs of myself. I am a confident person. I can work independently on my own initiative.
