I'm an open minded, energetic friendly person who is eager to learn and enjoys overcoming new challenges. I have an extensive amount of childcare experience in a managerial position, with good communication skills, including spoken, written, interacting and expressing myself clearly. I also work well within a team, but also have great leadership skills. I'm enthusiastic and possess personal drive. I have great initiative and pay attention to detail. I am willing to learn with the ability to overcome new challenges, I also have good management and organizational skills with the ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines. I'm very flexible with new situations, adapting to circumstances I am presented with. I also have an excellent ability to remain good-humored and I am unflappable under pressure.

I personally gain job satisfaction from working within a care environment as this gives me the opportunity to share my caring, warm nature providing me with a feeling of personal accomplishment. I have great passion for the work I've been dedicated to for nine years of my career and I feel I would flourish within a new job role which will provide me with a learning journey. 

During my career in childcare I have cared for children with long term illnesses and disabilities such as...

•leighs syndrome
•fragile x syndrome
•down syndrome
•autism
•limited hearing, etc.

With this I worked closely with the families of the children and with outside agencies. I've also taken care of families with multiple births, different cultures and beliefs, with a variety of backgrounds including, bilingual, food intolerances, allergies and abilities.

I also was my nurseries behaviour manager and safeguarding officer and worked very closely with social services, police, parents/ carers and a variety of other agencies.

I have also worked abroad as a Nanny/ children's rep in Greece, here I cared for children aged 0-17 years. This was a great exsperience as this gave me the opportunity to be very active as this involved not only caring for the children but taking them sailing, windsurfing, football, tennis, swimming, planning activities to suit their needs and lots more.
I personally believe that my previous childcare career has shown my dedication as I have taken every opportunity to learn, grow and develop in the care sector.
