Louise, childcare provider - GL52 Cheltenham

I am currently a matron at a boarding school looking after 26 girls, aged 10-13. I try to create a home that they feel comfortable in while being away from their parents. I also take charge of other children in the school, aged from 6-13. I have had more than 10 years experience of babysitting and on/off nannying for children as young as 3 months old. I love looking after children, seeing them develop and grow into themselves. I still see many of the children I used to babysit when they were babies. Some of them are know 10 years old, at the school where I work, and everytime I see them, they run up to me and hug me. Thats why I am in love with caring for children. The joy I get from seeing these children grow and experience life is incredible.

I would not say I am strict, but I am definitely not a put over. If there are rules, I make sure they are followed but in an enjoyable way. I try to incorporate games and activities which allows the children to learn valuable lessons and abilities that will help them in the future.
