Hi there, my name is Nicola and I have two children who are 16 and 12. I am looking for either babysitting work or a nanny for any age range. However, my experience is with babies and toddlers. The qualities I have a gregarious, active and warm and welcoming adult who respects every one as an individual regardless of race, creed, colour, disability, English as an additional language and gender through inclusive environments.
My experience is through schools and then nursery where I currently work three days per week. The activities we provide are numerous mark making opportunities I.E. Sand play, water play, Jelly, shaving foam, sensory bottles for babies to look at and the holistic basket containing a range of different objects. We have free flow time and activities are implemented outside with physical tools for fine motor skills, painting and play doe. We also have a large slide and climbing frame and there is a smaller climbing frame. For personal, social and emotional, the babies and toddlers have their supported routines in terms of their personal hygiene and when they sleep and for safety, we have a register every morning and when we go out the children are counted to make sure we have our numbers.Foe communication we set up different role play areas and always ask open ended questions to get the child thinking about what to do next or to extend their communication. This encourages equality for an inclusive education for all.
