Amanda, childcare provider in Epworth

I am currently on an 18 month temporary contract covering maternity leave at a school nursery, which is due to end May 2015. After this I hope to find a new challenge in a nursery, preferably full time, and hopefully move up within the work place. I have a lot of enthusiasm and I am willing to learn new skills so that I am able to undertake any task to my full ability. I like to be pro active in looking for new training I can attend to extend my skills. I am polite, friendly, enjoy meeting new people and will always give 100% to anything I do. I have an excellent attendance record throughout all workplaces, whether it is paid work or voluntary. I have a full and clean driving license, meaning travelling to and from work or any other places needed will not be an issue. I feel comfortable and able to adapt and progress within different environments and situations. I am a very self motivated person and believe I would do very well in a senior position, given the opportunity. I can work well on my own initiative and as part of a team, and very much enjoy doing so.

As well as paid work, I have also done voluntary work in various different settings, some whilst studying as a student and some in my spare time. These include Great Ormond Street Hospital as a student nurse, South Axholme Community School as a learning support assistant, Epworth Children’s Centre as an assistant support worker and Nicholas House Residential Home as a care assistant in the dementia unit.

I am a very sociable person who enjoys going out to meet and make new friends. I have a wide group of friends with mixed interests but enjoy spending time with them all equally. I attend a seasonal drama group which puts on pantomimes, which I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in all aspects from input to the scripts, set painting and performing which includes singing, dancing and acting.
