Hi! My name is Sundelette but everyone calls me Sunny, this is especially easier for children. I can imagine them having some difficulty getting around my actual name! I love children, we can start with that. I am a very organised person and always make sure I cater to what a child needs. I am very perceptive and can get to know a child and their needs fairly quickly and therefore begin to plan activities according to what they need to work on. I always encourage children to try and do things for themselves or answer questions for themselves for example if a child asks me an obvious question that I am certain they know the answer to, I will simply repeat the question back to them. When they answer the question I will point out that there was no need for them to ask me in the first place. In the same regard, I always encourage children to ask questions. If a child asks me a question I do not know the answer to I simply tell them so and suggest that we find the answer out together. I love learning new things with the children and from children as well, there are many little facts I have learned in my experiences from children. I can proudly say that I can name and identify at least ten different types of dinosaurs! A feat I could never have bragged about before. In addition, I can also now say that I have a repertoire of games and activities that I would never have thought of before. Furthermore, I am all about trying to prepare children for the real world, even if it's as simple as winning and losing a game. Not one person can win all the time which is what I often tell the children in my care. At the same time reminding them that there is no shame in losing, it just means they can try again and do better next time. All in all, I find working with children so rewarding, the feeling of pride I get when a child remembers a random fact that I told them or repeats a lesson that I taught them is indescribable. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and learning from your children as well.

I have over a years professional experience working in a nursery where I not only carried out the duties of a nursery practitioner but also stepped in when my room leader was not available. I am First Aid trained, DBS checked and also trained in Safeguarding children. I am passionate about children as well therefore believe this rate of pay should reflect that, and in my experience is adequate for someone that meets this criteria.
