Lucy, childcare provider - IP28 Tuddenham

Hello, my name is Lucy. I'm nearly 21 years of age and currently work full-time as an administration assistant in Bury St Edmunds.

I hold a full (clean) UK driving license and have just bought my second car.

I have a healthy social life, lots of close friends and family outings as well as getting to the gym / swimming as often as I can. I'd also like to start yoga and am interested in getting back in to horse-riding.

I have a Border Terrier who I absolutely adore. She loves walks, other dogs and animals and wants to say hello to everybody!

I don't have much experience in childcare but I looked after my niece when she was very young; (bathed, clothed, fed, changed, played, got her to sleep etc). I also worked in a couple of nurseries and primary schools for work placements as part of my Health & Social Care course at school. I've babysat for family friends which included; reading, taking them on bike rides to the park, playing kitchens or doctors or mums and dads. I smiled while writing this but unfortunately, my experience and qualifications don't go much further.

My boyfriend has two adorable little nieces aged 4 & 1. I sit and draw with the eldest, play dress up and get her to spell her name and write it down. I help the youngest to walk by herself and safely crawl up the stairs and to be nice and gentle with the family dog.

I love children and watching them develop in their own little funny ways and I'd love the opportunity work more frequently with them. I'm very keen to learn and have also been looking in to childcare apprenticeships in hope I can get a step closer to working with young children and infants.
