I am a fully qualified nursery nurse and have been working within the child care sector for over 8 years. I have had a lot of experience working within a busy nursery amongst all ages of 0-14 years. I have gained endless experience working with tiny babies in full time care, from 1 week old through to the toddler years. I have worked with SEN children and gained confidence in handling challenging behaviours.
I am looking to be a full time nanny within a loving and caring family. I thoroughly love being around and working with children as it is a challenging but very rewarding role. I am happy and have confidence in being around all ages of children. I can provide school runs and after school clubs, as I have a full drivers licence.
I have the confidence in cooking for both adults and children and will adapt easily to parental requests. I am happy to help with all house work I.e washing, ironing and cleaning.
I have a lot of experience and can match various activities with certain age groups. I can provide activities that can be mentally or physically stimulating. I allow activities to get messy, so children can explore by using both fine and gross motor skills.
My favourite activities (age appropriate)
* free mark making
* table top painting
* jelly play
* malleable bags
* sand and water play.
Children can learn a lot through play and I like to provide resources that can be squeezed, pulled, poked and smelt etc.
Interaction is very important and although letting a child play alone is healthy, engaging in a role play with children can also be beneficial. Therefore I like to interact amongst the children, which builds confidence and communication skills.
I understand that not all children are of the same age or ability, therefore I have the knowledge of providing games and activities suitable for the individual. I am good at multi tasking and can work alongside parents if they feel their child or children need support.
