Let me introduce myself. My name is Hannah; I live in the Royal borough of Greenwich and have done for 30 years. I am a mature British forty-seven year old Nanny, Maternity practitioner and Mother of two grown up ladies. I am currently looking after twin boys for 3 days a week in SE10 and have done since they were 7 months old.

I am seeking a weekend position to fit in with looking after the twins, and to stay near my mother, who now lives in Worthing. I can stay with a happy family and utilise my various talents, skills and experience gained over my time caring for and loving children for many years..

My daughters are age 30 and 28 years old. My eldest is married with a child of her own.
I chose this field of work due to my own family becoming independent, my love of children and still having loads of maternal instincts that could be used within a professional nanny position.
Here are some of the highlights of my career:

• Working as a volunteer in Peru with children living in extreme poverty
• Working in Moscow in a VIP fully staffed household
• Caring for two sets of twins
• Being there to help with key developments in my charges' lives

I am available to start straight away in any capacity as a Nanny, Night Nanny, or Maternity Nurse (live in, or live out, sole/shared charge). I am very flexible and do not mind the hours I work

My previous charges have been two 15mth old twin boys, 7 and 4 yr old girls and before this was a lovely little boy who was 9 months old when I began looking after him; he was an absolute delight to take care of. I have been Sole charge nanny for two little girls who were 14mths and 2 and a half years, a proxy parent to a little boy whom I had the pleasure of taking care of from the age of 2 to almost 5 years old. I also worked in two nurseries with children from the age of 3 months to 4 years.

I am very skilled in: supervising and the care of children, ensuring safety is paramount. Bathing, dressing and nourishing infants, making sure that fresh fruit is introduced to the children's diet and ensuring they get rest periods. Teaching children in personal hygiene and social development. Changing nappies, managing children's activities and helping key stages in development such as weaning, walking, talking and potty training.

I am very creative and love drawing, painting, reading stories and actively encouraging children to participate in educational activities from an early age. I use NETMUMS as a valuable resource to arrange any social and educational events locally. I love going on outings and arranging a social calendar for my charges where children of similar ages play together, such as music classes, toddler groups, gym/soft play, cookery classes and group sessions(as per my charges parents wishes). I can swim and hence like to take the children swimming from an early age. I am proud to say I have taught my charges to become confident swimmers.

Having worked with pre school age children from all backgrounds, I have proven to be patient and flexible. I will adapt to the individual needs of the children depending on their age group. In addition to this I also have a natural empathy with children. I love giving lots of cuddles and have been told I am like having an extra grandma or aunt around, which I think is a lovely compliment

I have the following qualification's and certificates:
• DBS certificate (disclosure and barring service) police check
• Paediatric first aid certificate
• CACHE certificate in childcare
• OCN maternity practitioners certificate level 3
• Food safety certificate
• OFSTED registration

I am also a member of British Association of professional nannies and I am fully insured

I apologise for my lack of recent full time work. I had a dying grandmother who I was the prime carer for and fitted emergency work with family commitments. I am now ready to commit to a long term position with a lovely family.
