Kate, childcare provider in Newmains

My name is Kate and I am 23. I am currently in the process of moving to Scotland. I am looking into being a nanny and working within your family home to provide care for your children.

I have a level 3 NVQ which allows me to work with children from birth to 19. I have been working within a primary school for 5 years and have experience of working with children from the age of 2-11. I am currently a 1:1 teaching assistant in a nursery setting within a mainstream school - I support two pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (global developmental delay and cerebral palsy). Throughout my time working within this primary school, I have worked with children with Autism, ADHD and behavioral and emotional difficulties.

I feel that I am patient and understanding when working with children. I am friendly, however I am firm when I need to be. With the children I have worked with, I have always had a great understanding and bond with them and their families.
I enjoy doing lots of activities with children - I enjoy being outside, painting, arts and crafts, play dough, water/sand, reading, writing, counting etc.
