Hello, im Sophie and I'm 16 years old, I'm currently in an apprenticeship I'm not enjoying very much as I'd prefer to work from a home setting. So I'm currently looking for full time care in the families home as I still live with my parents. I have many good qualities as a childcarer and many I have learnt whilst doing my apprenticeship, for example I am very caring and good fun! But also firm when needed. I can guarantee you that your child wouldn't be stuck in the house all day! As I don't drive of yet I'd have to make sure the family is alright with public transportation. I am also good with time managing and planning fun games and activities which expand learning. For example a few activities I've completed in the nursery I'm in at the moment I focus on a topic for a while and come up with things to do, at the minute we are learning about jack and the bean stalk when I planned for a pre school age child to make a counting bean stalk as they weren't confident with numbers. But I must say messy play is by far my favourite thing to do! Especially with babies as they are learning to things constantly and I think it's just fabulous watching them play with something they have never done before like spaghetti or shaving foam. I think I would be a good choice as I'm young children normally take to me a lot easier as I look a lot less intimidating than an older person. I just hope my age doesn't put families off as I'm more than capable.

I would never charge over this as I'm 16 and half way through an apprenticeship but don't enjoy the nursery setting, but I struggle a lot on the minimum apprenticeship wage.
