I am a punctual and hardworking person and am willing to undertake any task set. I am always open to learning new skills to expand my knowledge and have excellent verbal communication skills as I am able to express my ideas clearly and confidently. I put my verbal communication into place when I am at student placement both with the staff members and the children and their families. As I am at my student placement I find it easy to work as part of a team, I have developed this skill as this is required of me when I am at placement. I can also work from my own initiative and put forward my ideas and solutions, however I am up to negotiating and finding solutions which is convenient for others. I am always looking for new training which will provide me with a greater knowledge and advance my skills.

Corner house nursery

I have currently handed my notice to leave corner house nursery due to the change of address I work at corner from the 15th august until the 3rd February. While my time working here my job role was to work with all children age from 6 months to 4 years of age. When I was working with children under 2 my job was to make sure that all activity that was out was age appropriate and to make sure that I as a nursery officer encourage child interact with the resource. With children this age it was important to the nursery that we follow set routines including the time of their bottles and nappy changes this was with all age at the nursery. When I work in the 2 years to 2 years 11 months one main role that we did was the transition between nappies and pants. We help the children to transition between each one of our 3 rooms and made sure that children had visits to all room. In our 3 to 4 room we encourage school readiness by adding science table and maths. Throughout my time here I have filled in many different forms such as accident forms, existing injury and outdoor checks. As I work with all ages I work with all the nursery team and made sure that we all follow policies and procedures set by the nursery.
