I have been working with children in the Early Years sector for over 12 years, starting as an assistant and climbing the career ladder to management. During this time, I have had a great deal of experience nannying for a number of different families, here in the UK and during my travels around New Zealand also. I currently work as an Early Years Practitioner at a Nursery. I am responsible for the daily running of the Toddler Room within the Nursery. This includes teaching and supervising the children in my care, constructing a weekly timetable, liaising with all parents on a daily basis and managing other members of staff and work experience students. Furthermore, I assess the children’s development through the Nursery Early Years Foundation Stage profiles and plan child and adult-led activities which are suitable and age-related to the children, ensuring that all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum were covered. From the varied childcare experience I have gained over the years, I believe that I have the qualities, the experience and the passion required to carry out the role of a Nanny.
