I am 35 and am a warm friendly and caring person with over 6 years experience working with children of all ages. I have worked in schools, nurseries and after school clubs. I love working with children and am fun and energetic.

I live with my husband and our two pets and I enjoy the outdoors, cooking, crafts, upcycling and home design.

Experience
-Worked in full time nursery ages 0 to 4
-Worked in a school class ages 4 to 5
-Worked as a play leader in an after school and holiday club ages 4 to 12.

I have worked with children with special needs and look after my younger brother who has Downs Syndrome and autism.

I have worked as a nursery nurse with a room of toddlers. I ensured they were safe, clean and entertained. I provided a whole host of activities to keep the children busy and remained consistent with them so they knew what to expect which helped them feel settled in the nursery environment. They were always so pleased to see me putting their hands up for a hug. This involved a lot of nappy changes and managing children's difficult behaviours such as tantrums using time out and clear, consistent boundaries.

I am a very organised person. During my work at a holiday club I led the scheme and organised school trips taking twenty 4 to 12 year olds out on outings. I loved working with them all. I managed a lot of negative behaviours and earned the respect from the older boys group.

My qualities
I have always been a caring person. Used to look after my best friend at primary school who was partially sighted. I also looked after my brother and sister a lot when growing up. I have babysat a lot of children from their homes and then worked professionally in nurseries and schools.

I have been told by people that know me that I have a very calm disposition and people find me approachable and smiley. I am also firm but fair when needed.

Education
I have a degree in social work and A Levels in English and sociology and GCSE maths. I also hold an NVQ3 in childcare and education.

What I am looking for
