Hi,
my name is Rachel and i'm 22 years old. I recently finished my university degree in child and family studies and would love to work more in this area. I do not currently hold a full driving license but I am learning and have easy access to public transport and my bike :)
I have experience of looking after children in a wide variety of settings;
- I have had several weeks of placement experiences in nurseries, keeping the children occupied, playing games, getting creative helping at lunch and break times with food and generally helping them to develop, play and learn.
- I've done some voluntary work in schools, helping children on a 1-1 basis and in small groups, also helping out at play times.
- I have spent the 5 years before university, and the last 4 months, as a young leader and an assistant leader at a local brownie unit, planning and assisting with activities. i have also spent some time at camp with them helping out as well.
- for the last 7 years or so i have also been a babysitter for some of the children/families near me, on occasion when the parents go out, keeping them occupied for a while and then putting the children to bed.
i can be very creative and love playing games, reading stories and baking cakes, i can also help with some homework, cooking and some housework if needed.
if you would like any more information about me, please get in contact!
i look forward to hearing from you! :)
Occasional babysitting | $10.00 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $7.00 per hour |
Home nanny | $12.00 per hour |
i love working with children and families, and have some experience. however, as i do not have formal qualifications, i feel it is unfair to charge higher prices.
