Highly responsible 18 year old, training to be an actress at The MGA Academy of Performing Arts. I am a fun, creative and positive individual who loves to work with children.
I have gained experience in Moorpark Nursery. My duties included, shadowing a key member of staff, observing their day to day work. I used my own initiative and creativity to invent games for the children to play. Demonstrated kindness and perseverance when helping a boy who had recently moved to the country, read English. Stayed alert and acted calmly when aiding staff observe children on an outing to the local park and during a fire drill.
Additionally, I studied at West College Scotland Intermediate 2 Child Health and Development and passed.
Further to this, I completed a year of community involvement in Kirklandneuk Primary School. I assisted teaching staff in the care of Primary school pupils as part of an outreach programme within my local community. Giving back to the community in this fashion allowed me to foster my caring nature and interpersonal skills. I took responsibility whilst safeguarding children and preparing set and props back stage at the school show.
Moreover, I have been a baby sitter to my neighbours granddaughter for the past 6 years. During this time, I have learned how to handle situations calmly and positively, with patience and kindness.
I understand that my skills and experience are limited however I am keen to learn more. I have very good time keeping and communication skills and have the ability to think on my feet. I would read to the children/child, play board games and so on whilst they are in my care.
