Personal Profile
As a fluent Welsh speaker, I am confident in communicating in both Welsh and English. At school, I was firstly a form captain for a year, and subsequently was given the privilege of becoming a mentor for younger pupils. During this time I was put in many challenging situations that was our duty as mentors to provide our knowledge to resolve the issues. During my leisure time I enjoy keeping fit by running and playing netball. I helped run and played for a local team in the Llanelli Netball League, and played hockey in school. Both of which require good communication and team working skills. I was also a gymnast up to County level, which required stamina and perseverance.
My ambition in the future is to become a doctor, and I am working tirelessly with my degree to ensure I get the best grades possible.

Work Experience
October 2011 - Present
I currently work as a Customer Team Member in the Co-op store at Kidwelly. This involves assisting the customer with the selection of products, processing payments, meeting sales targets and the maintaining of stock levels, plus involvement in the day to day running of the service and the maintenance of a high level of customer service. An excellent knowledge of the company’s products and services is vital as well as the ability to manage financial interactions. Working as a sales assistant has allowed me to interact with customers aiming to provide pleasurable customer service, thereby improving my inter-personal, social and communication skills. I have also shown responsibility and trust in this job, as I am trusted with the running of the ‘Delicatessen’, managing the ordering and health and safety of the employees and customers. I have developed many skills with working as a team and working alone to provide the best service for the community.
I have had opportunities to participate in valuable experiences, including volunteering in school-based experiences. These involved observing and assisting with the teaching of children at primary age, supporting groups in activities such as: Read, Write, Inc and Outdoor Educational visits during which I was responsible for 8 children. I spent a week supervising Welsh-medium schools to promote the Welsh language through ‘Gwersyll yr Urdd’ and 2 nights at the Urdd Centre in Cardiff Bay and 2 nights at the Pendine Outdoor Education Centre.
Skills
I am fluent in both English and Welsh and am competent in conversing and writing in both languages.
I hold a current and clean UK full driving licence.
I am very good at working within a team and feel I can lead people to success.
As a Grade 4 pianist, I have achieved numerous awards for my practical and theory work.
I am a very strong, independent person, and a good decision maker and can be decisive when required. Maintaining good performance levels whilst juggling university life, work life and family life with a 1-year-old son, shows organization skills, good time management dedication and determination.
