Lauren, childcare - SA7 Birchgrove

My name is Lauren, I'm 28 years old, I'm currently living in the birchgrove area of Swansea. In April 2016 I moved here from Llanelli where I worked as a childcare assistant at a childminders for 4 years, I did everythig from nappy changes to arts and crafts to cooking the lunches, I loved the job very much and miss the children dearly, I left on maternity leave and had all intentions of going back to work but as I was learning to drive it was dependant on whether I passed my test on time which unfortunately I didn't. I worked at the childminders as an unqualified childcare worker but learned a lot over the 4 years, I completed an emergency first aid course and a food hygiene course, I have also learned a lot since giving birth to my own little girl 17 months ago. I'm currently working as a housekeeper at a hotel but would love to get back into the childcare sector, as I am unqualified it has been difficult for me to find a position in childcare, I am hoping to go to college and gain some qualifications in the near future when my little girl is a bit older.
