My name is Miriam, I'm 39 years old and I'm originally from Spain. I came to London in 2004, have lived here ever since and have acquired British citizenship. As well as Spanish and English I also speak Catalan and I'm currently trying to learn Japanese.
I have lived independently since I was 22 years old and I know the importance of cleaning and tidying after oneself, so I won't leave your house looking a mess at the end of the day. I also love to bake and cook, especially healthy Mediterranean-style dishes.
I have 1 cat and 1 dog, and I'd have no problem with any kind of family pets.
I have over 12 years' experience in childcare: I worked as a nanny for 10 years looking after children with ages ranging from newborn to 10 years, and I also worked as a teaching assistant in a private early years school in Chelsea for 2 years.
I think I make a great child carer because I love working with children (I know, all nannies probably say the same!), I have plenty of experience looking after them, I'm a positive, easy-going person and love to find creative and educational ways of entertaining children instead of parking them in front of the TV.
My Educator background means I'm able to help children, not only with school homework, but also to start learning basic concepts such as reading, writing and maths before they even start attending Reception, and have deep experience tutoring young children to increase their chances in admission tests for private schools in the area.
I'm also happy to provide you with references from previous employers.
I studied History at University in Spain and have a UK level 3 Early Years Educator diploma.
I'm OFSTED registered and passed my latest inspection in November 2020, hold a full DBS check, nanny insurance and up-to-date first aid training (renewed every 3 years).
During my job as a teaching assistant I received training in subjects such as Child protection and Childhood health and safety, and I'm well-versed in the National Curriculum used in primary schools.
I'm currently working full-time but will be available from late September - I'm flexible about the start date, though.
I'm looking for a 4-day week (full time) or 5-day week (part-time) nanny job and any weekly tutoring jobs.
Hope to hear from you soon!
