Robyn, childcare - SP6 Alderholt

Hello There! My name is Robyn, I am a college student who has just finished studying a Health and Social Care and a Childcare short course. I will be starting college again in September. This year I completed a work experience placement at a first school working with year groups: Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. I also shadowed a SEN student in Year 1. I have been babysitting for family and friends since I was around 10-11, starting when my friend (at the times) brother was born. I have also babysat for a child with additional needs since he was little, he is now 9 years old. I have an interest in working with children with additional needs/ SEN, I also make my own communication and difficulty cards and sheets depending on the child's needs.

With one of the children I have babysat for, we sometimes do little scavenger hunts. On Christmas Eve, his Naughty elf stole the Christmas presents. It was very sweet how excited he was when following the clues.

I am open to helping out with household chores and home learning.
