Amelia, childcare in Stratton st margaret SN3

Hello! I'm Amelia, but please call me Millie. I'm a 20 year old University Student studying Education Studies with the aim to become a Special Educational Needs Teacher. :-)

I've been babysitting for 5 years for children and teens of all ages and abilities. I'm currently in training to become a teacher. I am fully DBS CHECKED, up to date and recent. I will show you my DBS certificates should you wish and I will certainly bring them along to any interviews. I also have attended Safeguarding courses. At my previous job as a support worker (I go into more detail about this further down), I was a Key Worker for an individual with epilepsy and therefore know and understand what to do in the event of a seizure and can administer any medication.

Previous experience:
This is the first time I've used this site, so I'm a fresher when it comes to top-childcare.co.uk! I have a couple of experiences of childcare. One being when I was taken to Paris for a long weekend to look after two young children with their parents. I acted as "Mother's Help/Nanny". I learnt so much about the care that goes into everyday life with children, and I have carried it with me ever since. Additionally, I worked as a Nanny/Mother's Help for a family in London as I studied there for a year. It was my duty to collect their son in the evenings from school, return, make dinner and take care of him until parents returned. I would also have to complete housework tasks, to help Mum.
I have also worked as a support worker (supporting in everyday tasks like cooking, cleaning, personal care) for adults with Autism for 6 months, although have 18 years of living with my brother who has autism. I have my fair share of knowledge of ASD/SEN/D.
