Carol, childcare in Tulse hill

Dear Family,

My name is Carol and I was born in Damascus. I moved to the UK when I was 19 years old when I came to Scotland as a volunteer for a gap year. I fell in love with the Uk and decided to move to London to start my studies and career.

I am a graduate of SOAS University of London where I studied Teaching languages, especially Arabic in a communicative method. I am a trained teacher and experienced.

At the start of my private teaching and nannying career I was looking after three adorable children who are French – Arab located in London, I started looking after the children when they were the age of 2, 5 and 7; during four years of serving the family my duty were centred around the education of the kids in both Arabic and English languages, and teaching them manners, etiquette and right code of conduct. Besides organising the kids timetable, playdates, outdoor and indoor activities, doctors appointments and tutors sessions; my job also involved liaising with the parents, the school, tutors and other household staff; and as the head nanny I was responsible for training new nannies and supervising them.
In September 2019, when the family decided to relocate back in France, I, sadly, had to leave and start looking for a new role with a new family, I started looking after another three adorable children ages are 2, 7 and 9, my duty is very similar to my previous job, alas, this job is temporary as the family are getting ready to go back to the Bahamas in August. In addition to the duties I have with this family, I have the responsibility to help the mother with daily errands and holiday bookings, plus driving the kids with the family’s car to outdoor activities.

I aim to be kind to everyone and to act fairly and with respect. I am patient with the children I look after but do not let them get away with not studying! I am extremely polite and adaptable and have been brought up to put others first.
I like the theatre, reading. I love languages and in addition to being completely fluent in Arabic and English, I have an intermediate level of French.
I am quite sporty and love tennis, swimming and hiking. I like going to museums and art galleries and showing children how exciting these places can be.
