I am a reliable, caring mature lady who has a wealth of experience working with children in a variety of settings as well as bringing up my own three children, the youngest of whom is now eleven.
I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in the early nineties and worked for ten years on the children's ward in Exeter. Once my eldest son was born I left nursing and worked as a registered child minder whilst my children were growing up and volunteered in an Exmouth primary school helping with reading and in the foundation unit. This lead to a part time post as a teaching assistant on a one to one basis . I began my present full time post as a secondary school teaching assistant three years ago now.
I completed a home study course four years ago in Assisting teaching and learning in schools which covered all aspects of education settings from nursery to secondary covering 0-18 years.
I enjoy working with children . I have a clean driving license and am available to work on nine to five basis week days.
