Kerry, childcare - YO42 Pocklington

I am a mummy of 2 little boys 5 and 6. I am currently doing a foundation degree at York St Johns University Supporting Learning in the hope of eventually becoming a teacher. For the last 2 years i have been working on a voluntary basis 2 days a week in a primary school main work with 6 year olds. During the holidays i have ran a group for children between the ages of 5 and 14 planning activities games and crafts. Prior to having children I went to college where i completed 800hrs work experience in a range of different settings working with babies 0 - 1, 2 - 3 and 3 - 5's. I believe children learn best through hands on approach and would always encourage activities in the good outdoors whether it be a trip to the park or an exploration through the woods.
