Rachel, childminder in Bonnybridge

My name is Rachel, I am 16 years old and have just finished my last year at school. I have been accepted to study fashion merchandising at Glasgow college, which does not start until mid September; therefore I would be available to help whenever required.

I have had previous experience of working with children with an age range from under 6 months-9 years. I provide a lot of help with my baby cousin Aydan's upbringing, as my uncle is a single parent who works away due to being in the navy. I help look after my aunties child aged 8, due to her health. I also have been rewarded the Saltire Award from my school for volunteering as a 'buddy-like' person for those to reach out to, anywhere from bullying or wanting someone to talk to. Therefore I think I would benefit babysitting children in that age range.

I love kids and believe they would feel comfortable around me due to my friendly nature. Having seen family members struggle with childcare due to single parenting or work commitments, I would like to be seen as a helping hand to those families facing the same difficulties.
