Early Years Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status in England and Ofsted Registered Childminder.I have recently created a home educational setting, The Owls House, in which children learn through playing and exploring how to be independent, how to manage their feelings and develop skills in all areas of development.I plan activities and educational experiences following the Early Years Foundation Stage.These activities are based in children's interests and needs to help them to progress well in all areas according with the developmental expectations for their age. I’m fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English.(I am native Spanish). I’ve an experience of 10 years working as an early years teacher with children between 1 and 6 years old in different nursery schools around the world. I have learned, especially in Italy, a Reggio educational approach, an education based on creativity where free play, arts and nature are considered essential to learn skills in all areas of development.
I have created a secure and rich environment which invites children to explore, to find out, to make choices; to be active in the learning process. All the resources are accessible for them to support their independence and confidence. I believe environment is the second teacher. I try to create enabling environments doing a creative use of the resources in order to be innovative, including new elements everyday to wake up children's curiosity which I believe is the key of learning.
