For the better part of the last decade I have been working for private families in a number of different capacities. Initially starting as a nanny, I have gathered much experience and know how in assisting numerous parents in a variety of locations worldwide and here in the UK. In years more recent I have found myself specialising as a maternity nurse, helping mothers and fathers with teeny tiny premature babies, most specifically twins.
After spending time with the families I learned not only how to help them with their little ones but also the struggles and sometimes difficulties they had encountered in finding me and any previous nannies they had hired. Hearing similar tales time and time again inspired me to find a better solution, a more direct way for families to get the help they needed.
Having studied nursing before all this I also had a a realistic idea of the number of suitable like minded people out there who would be perfect for assisting families with their little darlings. With all this in mind and some inspiration from a former employer, I took the leap to open my own agency, NannyDirect, currently making life that little bit easier for families and nannies alike.
As an experience childcare provider I am happy to share my thoughts on childcare itself along with some ideas and tips I’ve picked up along the way whilst caring for little monkeys all over the world.
My ultimate goal would be to run a social enterprise, giving back to local communities, in the form of many child respite centres for parents needing that well deserved rest.
I am currently available for any ad/hoc nanny positions, full or part time. Also happy to help out with night/maternity roles & some sleep consultancy, including establishing routines.
