Hi ?
My name is Kim
I knew I wanted to work with children from being at secondary school so I carried out a variety of volunteer work which included helping out in primary schools, co managing a after school girls club and babysitting for family/friends.
When I finished college I studied a BA hons early childhood studies degree for 3 years to which I passed and gained a level 6 nursery nurse and a higher level teaching assistant qualification.
After completing my degree I worked as a nursery nurse and a one to one teaching assistant in a primary school.
I am now currently working as a private nanny for 3 girls aged 10 years old, 3 years old and 9 months, which I have done since October 2016 and I thoroughly enjoy. I have a lovely relationship with the girls and their parents and I try to be as flexible as I possible can to help them, for example I have changed my shifts last min, gone into work in emergencies and travelled to Glasgow to their other home, to work for a week whilst they were staying there for the easter holidays.
I also work as a personal assistant for a 6 year old boy who has special educational needs and occasionally I will look after his twin sister as well to help their mum during school holidays or any extra time needed. I looked after this little boy when he started at the primary school I was working at and his mum approached me to ask if I would be his PA, to which I was extremely honoured. I thoroughly enjoy this job and have built up such a close relationship with the boy and his family. His progression has been amazing to observe and to be part of and I am always more then happy to go that extra to help in anyway that I can.
I look after this boy from my home and I am very fortunate as I have a good sized home and garden for him to enjoy and a variety of activities for him to play with.
I am a very approachable person and find building relationships with children very easy and natural. I am have good communication skills which I find a extremely important to have with parents. I am able to build and maintain very positive relationships with parents.
I am very reliable and trustworthy which has been demonstrated many times when parents have left me in charge and responsibile for a variety of things.
I am very hard working and dedicated to my employment. I always try and go above and beyond my daily duties to help parents and bring the children happiness.
I am more then happy to meet with you to discuss my qualifications/experience in more detail or answer any other questions you may have.
Thank you ?
